The Flow, the cover.

Check out the Fall 2012 issue of The Flow magazine and look who's on the cover! Congratulations to Snic for making the debut with a short narrative piece on the inspiration and history of his work. Many thanks to The Flow for giving the opportunity!

Cars Consumed by Grass

[These cars at CMP Block in Taiwan have been half buried and landscaped over. They should apply this idea to children’s parks, obviously not including any of the danger elements like glass. This idea has potential to be applied in numerous constructive ways, promoting recycling and reuse of automobiles.] via

Jurassic Glass

Just had to post a few of these photos that I saw on facebook by Elbo glass from the BIG show that just went on in Vegas. Snic has done a couple collabs with Elbo, who apprenticed with a good friend of Nic's in Philly for a long time. I think he's come a long way and I'm really impressed with his Jurassic Park collection, even making a glass Jurassic car ! The white dinos are a JAG-Elbo collab. Enjoy!

The Many Faces of Snic

Nic makes beautiful work. This piece isn't finished yet and I will post more when it is finished but he made this is a short span of time for a competition in Oregon last May. I think it's beautiful and couldn't help taking pictures of it close up.

Art

Albert Einstein gets yarn-bombed.
[Olek strikes again! The famous yarn-bomber has been taking advantage of her time in DC. She recently surprised those strolling through the grounds of the National Academy of Sciences by covering a 12-foot tall statue of Albert Einstein in yarn!
“Wow, this is Awesome! You’re like the Banksy of yarn,” one viewer tweeted in response to the picture of her creation. Sadly, the yarn was removed from the statue in just a few hours. See more fun examples of yarn-bombing here and here.] via

Pink is the new black

What do you think of these new colors these guys are throwing around these days? I'm really into the lavender and pink! This glass is made by Calm glass who visited Texas for a couple of collabs. 1&2) Calm-Stoke pic taken by me. 3) Calm-Salt photo taken by Salt. Calm is also known for this new technique with the slime-esque foot. I'm really into it!
