Everything-Illuminated

Illuminating Garbage to Raise Awareness About Plastic Bags.
[The exhibition is intended to raise awareness about the use of plastic bags and their effects on the environment through artistic storytelling. According to the museum website, the indestructible objects "reflect consumer behavior, advertise status, reinforce identity, damage the environment and narrate our cultural history. At the same time, they are a symbol of our global society."] via

Albert Einstein gets yarn-bombed.
[Olek strikes again! The famous yarn-bomber has been taking advantage of her time in DC. She recently surprised those strolling through the grounds of the National Academy of Sciences by covering a 12-foot tall statue of Albert Einstein in yarn!
“Wow, this is Awesome! You’re like the Banksy of yarn,” one viewer tweeted in response to the picture of her creation. Sadly, the yarn was removed from the statue in just a few hours. See more fun examples of yarn-bombing here and here.] via

Hackysacky Saki Bomb

Representing the ladies in this post. This work is by Sakibomb, another female artist in the industry. I can't even help it. I see it on facebook and there is always something new, interesting, and cute every time. She brings out the Hello Kitty in all of us. I need to start my own collection.
I pulled most of these photos from her facebook. The top three taken by JAG (a collaboration) and the needles, a collab with JOP. Kudos to you Saki!

Barcelona Diary

Just saw these Barcelona photos from a trip taken by SS. They are beautiful pics I just had to post a couple from my Barcelona trip (last 3) with my sister which I still can't believe was 7 years ago !! Had a good laugh when I was looking over them although we didn't have camera phones then and don't have nearly as many pictures as we would have today. but the memories stay with me always. Oh and P.S the picture with the eggs on top is Salvador Dali Theatre and Museum (also where he lived and was buried). It was breathtaking and still the most amazing place I have ever been. I'm getting the travel bug just looking at these!

Pink is the new black

What do you think of these new colors these guys are throwing around these days? I'm really into the lavender and pink! This glass is made by Calm glass who visited Texas for a couple of collabs. 1&2) Calm-Stoke pic taken by me. 3) Calm-Salt photo taken by Salt. Calm is also known for this new technique with the slime-esque foot. I'm really into it!
