James Ulmer
Congratulations to James Ulmer, a fellow friend from Philadelphia, who was featured on the Juxtapoz Magazine website!
[Repetition, variation in detail, and simple forms are some of the charming qualities that draw you into these select drawings by James Ulmer. Each work reinvents simple characters or gestures forming patterns that span the entire page. Titles like Many Faces, Soccer Players, and Lots of Lots all suggest the quantity within the drawings: the quantity of strokes, which are visible, the quantity of characters, which are apparent, and the quantity of variations, which reveals the artist's hand and imagination. Basic emphasis on a repetitive gesture is something that can continually evolve and always possesses a certain appeal, as these drawings appeal to us.]

Phlegm in Bantry, Ireland
Holy crap! Phlegm is back!
[Sheffield-based muralist, Phlegm, has been busy in the streets once again continuing to paint murals inspired by water related themes. These two newest pieces painted in West Cork, Ireland depict a salmon-submarine being navigated by the artist’s signature characters and a guy standing on top of a city that he could possibly be panning?] via.

Kim Thomas
Kim Thomas, also known as Zii, is my new fave lady around these parts. Such a cool chick and can make some pretty amazing work. The more grotesque the more I am falling in love with her pieces. I took these shots of her working. The other photos taken by Functional Glass Art. I am shooting some of her work so there will be plenty more to come!
Hotel Missoni
Time to travel...[Last March, following it’s debut in Edinburgh, Scotland, the second-ever Hotel Missoni opened its doors in Kuwait. Located on the Salmiya seafront, the hotel is outfitted with the fashion house's iconic boho-glam patterns and details as well as furniture from the likes of Philippe Starck and Hans Wegner.] Can we say adorbz! via.
